The 40th edition of the festival, the most important annual cinematic event in the country, will take place from February 1-11, 2022, commemorating the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
The number of films will be reduced to 74, after being judged by the rules and regulations of the festival.
The films will be reviewed by December 5, and up to 22 features will be the contenders for major prizes at the section of Iranian cinema competition.
