The festival’s director Bella Blake has officially invited the Iranian actor.

The festival’s goal is to introduce and reward independent filmmakers from all over the world and become a tool to open the way in the cinema industry.

The event will be held in different sections of Best Short Film, Best Animation, Best Feature Film, Best Student Film, and Best Documentary.

The festival will take place in Los Angeles from April 13 to December 2.

Born in 1969, Farrokhnejad graduated from the University of Tehran and started his career with acting in ‘In the Alleys of Love,’ directed by Khosrow Sinai.

He won his first two Crystal Simorgh, a notable award in Iranian cinema given annually at the Fajr Film Festival, for Aroos-e Atash (The Bride of the Fire), in the acting in a supporting role and screenwriting categories. His second was in 2013 for acting in Esterdad.
