His friend Behrouz Karimi confirmed the news of Nikyar’s death.
Karimi added that his friend had been suffering from colon cancer.
Nikiar was born in 1952 in Tehran and started acting in the theater. He entered the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting as an assistant director and stage designer in television projects.
The series ‘Century of Destiny,’ ‘Amir Kabir,’ and ‘Sultan and the Shepherd’ were among his works as an assistant director.
He also appeared in the film, ‘Dress Right’ (2008), directed by Mohammadreza Varzi.
