The Iranian drama, ‘180° Rule,’ directed by Farnoosh Samadi, won the Best Feature Film and Best Ensemble Cast awards at the Competition Section of the festival.

Iranian director Amin Maher’s film, ‘Letter to My Mother,’ also won the Special Jury Mention at the festival.

Farnoosh Samadi’s drama has previously won the Best Feature Film Award in the Meeting Point section of the 65th Valladolid International Film Festival – Seminci, in Spain.

The BWFF, founded in 2017 in Lebanon, celebrated the month of March under the theme, “Women for Leadership,” highlighting the role of women as leaders in their societies, according to the official website of the festival.

Founder and director of the BWFF, Sam Lahoud, said, “At this festival, we believe in amplifying the voices of women and girls through film by offering a platform to these leaders in order to show their work, to share their plans for the future, and to reflect through the lens and the beauty of the image.
