The closing date for registration has been prolonged until April 6, and the deadline for submission of physical copies has been extended until April 10, IRNA reported.

During the Norouz holidays, the secretariat of the Iranian films section of the festival will be ready to receive physical copies of the registered works on March 27, 28 and 30.

The 38th edition of the festival will be held in Tehran from May 26 to June 2nd under the auspices of the Iranian writer, director and cinema producer Mohammad-Mehdi Asgarpour.

In 2020, the Fajr International Film Festival, Iran’s major film event, canceled the 2020 edition over the COVID-19 pandemic.

The festival was scheduled to be held in April 2020, however, amid growing concerns over the new virus during March, the organizers postponed it to a later time in June, which was also canceled.
