The exhibition entitled “When a City Goes to Sleep” opened at the Iranian Artists Forum in Tehran on Monday, the forum announced.

“I have always been in love with cinema, especially the films noirs and, consequently, the urban spaces,” Jahed said at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

“After I migrated from Iran in 2000, I traveled to numerous cities where I took photos at night under the influence of film noirs,” he added.

Photographer and filmmaker Seifollah Samadian, film critic Amir Purya, filmmaker Khosro Masumi and a number of art aficionados attended the opening ceremony of the showcase, which will be running until January 28.
