Ten documentaries have been selected for the full-length films section. Among the films are “Alicia” by Maasja Ooms from the Netherlands, “Angels Are Made of Light” by James Longley, “Facing the Dragon” by Sedika Mojadidi and “A Thousand Girls Like Me” by Sahra Mani, all from the U.S.
“Each and Every Moment” by Nicolas Philibert from France and “From Music into Silence” by Farshid Akhlaghi from Australia will also be shown in the section.
Seven films, including “Raghu Rai, an Unframed Portrait” by Avani Rai from India, “The Mount of Ants” by Riccardo Palladino, “Alganesh” by Lia and Marianna Beltrami, both from Italy, and “Marceline, A Woman, A Century” by Cordelia Dvorak from France will compete in the mid-length film category.
A lineup of nine documentary films, including “Some of These Days” by Vincent Forster from Germany, “Hekim” by Yavuz Ucer from Turkey and “Lumiere” by Hristina Belousova from Uzbekistan will be screened in the short films competition.
The Documentary and Experimental Film Center is the organizer of the Cinéma Vérité festival, which will take place at Tehran’s Charsu Cineplex from December 9 to 16.
