In the film, Behruzi poses this question: if we love each other then why do we declare our love.

Turkish director Onur Yagiz’s “Earth” won the award for best fiction while his fellow filmmaker Alican Durbas’s “Soil” was named best experimental film. 

“Sog” by Jonatan Schwenk from Germany received the award for best animated movie.

Kambuzia Partovi, the Iranian writer and director of the acclaimed movie “Café Transit”, was a member of the jury at the festival, which took place in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku from November 14 to 17.

A number of Iranian films, including “The Hole” by Zahra Torkamanlu, “Birth” by Siamak Ata and “The Slaughter” by Rasul Iranzad, were also screened at the event.

The festival also organized a special screening for Iranian director Jafar Panahi’s latest film, “3 Faces”.

Organized by the Center for Young Cinematographers – SINEMA, the festival is supported by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Youth Foundation of Azerbaijan.
