According to news outlets, the cast of “6 Underground” includes Ryan Reynolds, Melanie Laurent, Dave Franco, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Adria Arjona, Corey Hawkins, Ben Hardy and Lior Raz.

Maadi, a Berlin Silver Bear Best Actor winner for Asghar Farhadi’s drama “A Separation”, previously worked with Bay in his 2016 film “13 Hours”.

The Iranian’s debut as actor in Hollywood was in Peter Sattler’s 2014 war drama “Camp X-Ray” which featured actress Kristen Stewart.

It was followed by the action adventure film “Last Knights” (2015) by Kazuaki Kiriya, in which he played along with Clive Owen and Morgan Freeman.

He later starred in the American miniseries “The Night of,” shown in 2016 on HBO, a US premium cable and satellite television network.

Maadi has lent his voice to a character in a Canadian animation ‘Window Horses’ made by Ann Marie Fleming.

Born in New York, Maadi, 47, returned to Iran when he was five and grew up in Tehran.

 He has written and directed two feature films and written the script for five other movies, all of which were among the bestsellers.

The plot details are currently under wraps. Filming of the movie, with an estimated budget of $150 million, is due to begin later this month.

Produced by Skydance and Netflix, the movie will be released worldwide in 2019 on Netflix, the world’s leading internet entertainment service with 130 million memberships in over 190 countries.
