Hashemi has been nominated for best director, best screenplay and best picture awards while Esmaiel Mehrabi and Masoud Keramati are nominated for best actor award and Asghar Rafiejam for best cinematography.
The 90-minute comedy is a story of two old men who after discovering they have a terminal illness, decide to embark on a journey in the night.
Other cast members include Pantea Bahram, Shaqayeq Farahani, Shabnam Farshadjou, Morteza Zarrabi and Shaqayeq Dehqan.
Produced in 2015, the film is the third feature film by Hashemi and was screened in Australia, Peru, Canada, Belgium and Germany.
Proceeds from ticket sales of the festival will go to the Lotus Light Children’s Charity in Los Angeles.
