The 36th edition of Fajr Film Festival has kicked off at Tehran’s Milad Tower. Culture Minister Seyyed Abbas Salehi and film industry figures attended the opening ceremony on Thursday. Since 1982, the festival has been the country’s annual showcase of new cinema. Premiere films are a big deal this year. From February 1 to 11, visitors will have the opportunity to see some of the best contemporary feature-length films from Iran.
