Release from Heaven’ directed by Ali Noori Oskouei has recently won Best Animation award at the 1st edition of Gold Movie Awards in London, UK.

Set in a war-torn country, ‘Release from Heaven’ is the story of a female writer and teacher who has to accompany two of her students on a life changing journey.

The 76-minute animated film is directed by Ali Noori Oskouei, written by Majid Asoodegan, and produced by Ali Noori Oskouei and Seyed Vahid Olyaee.

Celebrating its 7th year, the Fort McMurray International Film Festival (YMMIFF) is currently underway in Canada from 10-12th 2017 at the Suncor Centre for the Performing Arts Theatre, screening 27 films as official selections.

The YMMIFF seeks to introduce a wide range of international cinema to Northern Canada by featuring exceptional films from around the world as well as locally produced films.
